this is just a guess but did you install the Skype browser plug-in if so this
might be causing the problem.

Subject: Interesting Conflict With IE8

Hey guys. I just installed Skype a few days ago on this computer and I've
noticed that after I did that Window-Eyes doesn't seem to wanna cooperate with
Internet Explorer. When I navigate away from my home page, Window-Eyes stops
speaking altogether but speech does come back after minimizing to the desktop.
So I shut down Window-Eyes thinking it would solve the problem and it in fact
made it worse because it always refreshes itself when I go to an edit box. I'm
sure some of you know how frustrating when it does this because I've read posts
that it refreshes like that in Firefox. So I wonder, is it because I installed
Skype 4.2 that it's acting like this? I would switch to Firefox, but I don't
like how it downloads stuff. I prefer running programs rather than saving and
then running, that's just stupid. And also, there's no sounds with Firefox,
though someone told me that there was a plug in for that. But if I had to
switch to FF, where would I find it?

Shawn
