Yes, but what is this "begin ennus" statement when it's an English message?
Sometimes I do hear "begin English" with an English web page, but "ennus?"

Hello. If you check the box for insert beginning and end messages, you
will hear this notification whether or not the synthesizer changes
languages. So if you don't want to hear the beginning messages, uncheck
that first check box.

When I check the box for "read to end" under those same settings, the
effect occurs, when "read to end" is not checked, this doesn't happen
with read to end. So that part is working correctly.
I get to this area with the insert-v command while reading a message in
the browse mode buffer.
