If all you need to do is access files, we have been very successful in using Drop Box.
After you create an account, you can install the Drop Box client on all the computers that need to access those files. There is one part in the install where you need to use the WE mouse cursor to get to a radio button that says already have an account. Once the user ID and password has been set up, each PC running the Drop Box client will have a folder under My Documents called My Drop Box. When ever a change is made in the My Drop Box folder on a PC all of the other ones are updated. It is even possible to go back a few versions in case someone makes a mistake in a file. Windoweyes does not speak except to say "graphic" when he moves the mouse around. Does anyone have a suggestion re how I can do a remote log on and, in effect, work on the synagogue's computer?
