Try VLC Media Player from the URL below:

Now, hope you do have a DVD drive and I think you almost will have to update
your video driver if you have a DVD drive and this program VLC Media Player
still doesn't work for you.

Subject: Accessible DVD Playing Software

I apologize in advance if I am covering old ground here, but can anyone give
me some advice on getting some accessible DVD playing software? I'm using WE
7.11 and Windows Vista Home Premium. I tried Windows Media Player, but it
won't play the DVD's I want to play because it is not possible to turn on
analog copy protection on my output device. (That is almost an exact quote.)
It advises me to update my video drivers. I'm using a notebook here, and I
imagine I can do that; but I just want to play the darn DVD's I just got for
my birthday. I don't want to have to go through what might be a long
procedure finding out what my video card is, then finding out where to go to
check to see if a more recent driver is available, and so forth.

Anyone got any suggestions for a simple, accessible program that will just
let me play these things on my computer without a lot of hassle and without
treating me like I was a potential criminal?

Thanks much for any help.

Evan
