All:
Perhaps this is fixed in 7.2, but this has been a persistent drawback of Window-Eyes for at least a couple of versions. If one uses styles, as do most law firms, the section or paragraph number will not be read by Window-Eyes when up and down arrow is used or when "read line at cursor" is used, and a style or paragraph separator is employed . This, however, only happens when, for example, one uses automatic numbering as a part of a style and one inserts the paragraph or style separate in a line. Let's say the style automatically uses Arabic numbers. sets the character attributes to bold, and displays the text in solid capital letters. Now let's say the heading is only a short phrase, like "REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES," and one wants the text of the section to start reading as follows: 6.5 REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES. The Licensee and Licensor represent to each other as follows: If one uses a style separator at the period in the above line so that the text after the period is in a different case and font, Window-Eyes won't read the 6.5. I can duplicate this behavior 100% of the time. To hear the number, one must synchronize the mouse and the pointer (cursor) and then employ the "mouse read line" command.
This is not life threatening, but it is annoying.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
