Huh.

Stupid question but, have you gone into the control panel then to notifications?

I wonder if the box near the bottom of that screen, to display all notification items unchecked. Be aware, you might have to use your mouse pointer to get down there. I'm not honestly terribly sure.

Also, you may need to put the program into xp compatibility mode. Don't do that, though, until you try my first suggestion.

If you don't mind me asking, what app are you having this issue with? If you'd rather not say, I fully understand.

Chris.

Subject: system tray not speaking

I am trying to access items in my system tray. The only items that are read are the clock, the notification chevron and systray notification bar. There are four blank lines with no speech. If I do ins s, I get a list of five items which are all unnamed. If I close WE, they will show up the next time I start WE, but they disappear if I switch away from them and then come back later. This has just started today. I have a program running in the systray that I need to check on its status from time to time. I tried NVA, and it read the icons and status, but that program is not good for regular use. I only use it when WE is not accessable. I am using WE beta 7.2 and Windows 7 64 bit home premium. Thanks for any suggestions. I would prefer not to have to restart my computer right now, if possible.

Carol
