Here's how to display the Control Panel as a standard explorer window rather
than a menu on XP.
1. Start.
2. Settings.
3. Task bar and Start menu.
4. Go to the Start menu tab.
5. Tab down to Customize, press enter.
6. Tab down until you hear: Advanced start menu options, not the advanced
button.
7. Now you're in a list.
Cursor down to: Expand control panel and uncheck it.
It should say: Expand control panel, Off.
8. Tab to Okay, enter, then okay and enter again.
9. When you go in to the control panel, open the View menu with Alt-V and
set the view to list. Now you'll just have a simple list you can cursor
up/down in or use alphabetic shortcuts.

Hi list,
I use Window-Eyes 7.11 and Windows XP.
When I go to the control panel and press the letter D so that I should get
Date
and Time, I just hear the letter "D."
I have never had this happen before.
I have tried to do it several times but to no avail.
I am wondering if I should go to the original factory settings and bring
them
up? If so, how do I do that?
Maybe that should correct things?
