This points to Outlook locking up not WE. It
would be great if WE could deal with this more
gracefully, but as we've discussed before this is
a difficult nut to crack, but we haven't given up on it.

7.11 does this as well. I put in the second hour
glass script and I noticed that when WE stops
talking and Outlook 2007 is running the hour
glass is there. I know this by the continuous tone generated by the script.
I can call up another text to speech programme,
such as narrator, and calling up the Task
Manager (Control+Shift+Escape) shows that the
message in Outlook I have open, Outlook itself,
and WE are not responding. If I end one of the
Outlook tasks, then WE begins speaking again. If
I end the Window-Eyes task, Outlook continues to not respond.
Often this happens replying to an HTML message
and running the spell check automatically when
sending the reply by pressing control+enter or alt+S.
