Barry,

the number really isn't that important; what they're doing is what matters,
and if you're not a scripter, that's going to be hard to judge.

almost all scripts sit there idle, waiting for you to do something (press a
hotkey, open a certain window, whatever), and they consume no resources
during this waiting.

I'm writing a rare script which runs constantly, performing calculations all
the time, and even with it doing that, things are still fine on my laptop,
and it's one that's several years old.

the only one I can think of which may do anything like significant
processing would be the eloquence fix script, which has to look at
everything sent to eloquence, and this is still nearly nothing in terms of
computer resource use. so, I wouldn't worry. if you ever notice a problem,
sure, try turning off your scripts, or that most recent script, but it's not
likely to be the issue.

hth,

Chip

Subject: Performance WE & Scripts

Folks,Does this effect the performance the mor scripts you have loaded?

I've 36 scripts loaded at the moment, all of which I find useful at various
points throughout my day. However, I will wittle them down if there's a
performance hit.

2.33GHZ Quad Core 4GB RAM Win 7 32Bit.

Cheers,
Barry.
