I'm afraid this is just one reason why many of us choose not to use the laptop layout. I'd say most of us use the standard layout, and have learned how to use the fn key on modern laptops to simulate the numeric pad keys. doing it this way also allows you to get help from others, and understand it if they mention specific WE keystrokes which will help you. hth, Chip
