I'm afraid this is just one reason why many of us choose not to use the
laptop layout. I'd say most of us use the standard layout, and have learned
how to use the fn key on modern laptops to simulate the numeric pad keys.

doing it this way also allows you to get help from others, and understand it
if they mention specific WE keystrokes which will help you.

Subject: laptop layout question

Hi list,

I submitted this question to support, but I imagine they are slammed today,
so heres hoping someone on the list has an idea.

I have upgraded to we7.2. I use the laptop layout and I have my old laptop
layout file. I need somehow to merge the 2 files.

I can tell my old layout is missing a lot of info in comparison to the new,
so I don't want to do a simple copy paste.

Is there any clever way to do this, without manually rewriting my
preferences?

Hope this makes sense,
Traci
