oh almost forgot you can reproduce this problem also buy hitting control to for new tab. issuing an address from the address bar and have the page load. the focus will remain on the address bar and you then will have to set focus to the web page window. then the edit boxes will not function because you will be unable to get in to them.
the work around here seems to be press control t for new tab.
press f6 tell you get in to the about tabs web page. you can then use the open dialog to open the web page you want for this tab. also in the situation where edit boxes don't work turning off brows mode and turning it on again usually corrects the problem. I have not had to exit and reload window-eyes.

Hi. I was tabbing through some stuff earlier today and mine didn't even show the edit box. I just restarted my computer and it's fine now. It's alos done this on other versions of Window-Eyes and I would just restart the program or the computer.

Hi Matthew I am experiencing something very simular. When I get on a page such as my on line banking and go to the edit boxes to enter my user name, and password wineyes speaks user name, and password but does not say edit box. I havbe to manually go out of brouzer mode and then tab until I hear it say edit box. I used to be able to arrow down and it would say user name and then when I arrowed down one more time it would say edit box and then I could just press enter and it would take me out of bbrouser mode and allow me to enter my text. However if I understand you correctly you are able to enter text, but not all the text you need in the edit box. This is a problem I just started having with we 7.2 I hope this can be corrected soon. Rick

Hi all. I first would like to say that I got we 7.2 finial release installed with no problems. All is running as it should except one thing. I have been having this problem since 7.11. I am still having problems with forms in ie 8. Running windows 7 home premeium 32 bit. When entering text into an edit box such as in google, we misses what I type and not all of the text I type is entered no matter how slow I type to be sure it is keeping up. I thought by now this would be fixed, but this is not the case. Perhaps some one at gwmicro can try and duplicate this. If not then maybe it is something else. This problem only happens with ie 8. When using jaws this does not happen at all. I don't want to use ff just for handleing forms. Thanks for letting me rant.
