Walt, if you are referring to Browse mode coming back on, the answer is for you to go into the Google preferences section and choose the don't make query suggestions radio button. Save the settings and now it will work. It's actually a neat feature when it does this because what happens is suggestions are made as you type. So if you disable auto load, you can type a search query and then press down arrow to see suggestions. Then you can press enter on one of them and turn on Browse mode manually. Ebay does this and so does Netflix and Youtube. Google at least lets you turn this feature off.
