Hi. The latest version is 3.6.3. Is this the version you're talking about?
You didn't say the actual version you're trying. Mozilla has released a 64
bit version of 3.6.3 which does not seem to work with speech. The 32 bit
version of 3.6.3 works very well with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium
editionon my HP DV6 laptop.

Running WE 7.2 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. Have installed the latest
version of firefox.
Having a lot of problems with Firefox crashing. Will try to go to random
