Look at the settings for Update. Open ESET, click Update then click the
Setup button. There are some options regarding program updating.

how did you do that? i have never been notified that there was a program
update, only dat file updates since i started with version 2.7 i have
always had to check for updates on the eset web site.

You dont need to go thrui that. You can set things up so its done
the same way as the virus signature database. It told me there was an
program update last week and I took it.
Go in advanced setup, update, then setup.

you need your eset user name and password you used to install the
previous
version before you can download the upgrade.
i had a hard time finding it until i used the eset search box and
