Perhaps I am mis-understanding what you want to do.

If you want to set up a folder to store your NLS (BARD) books with a
short-cut to it, do the following:

In myDocuments with nothing selected

Press the applications key just to the left of the right control key.

Arrow up to new and press enter.

You should hear folder and press enter

Type BARD or any legal name and press enter.

Now you should have an empty folder called BARD.

To make a shortcut to it on the desktop:

While on the selected BARD folder,

Press applications key.

Arrow down to Send to and press enter.

Arrow down to desktop shortcut and press enter.

Now you should have a shortcut on the desktop called

Shortcut to BARD.

If you want to rename this shortcut to just BARD, when the shortcut is
focused, press f2 and edit the name.

Hope this helps.

Subject: question about setting up an icon on desktop

Hi list,

I am in the process of setting an icon on the desktop for the BARD
website.

I just have a question about this?

I put the file bard in the my Documents folder.

I then attempted to put an icon with the same name onto the desktop. I
then pressed b which of course said the name, "Bard." However, I heard
it say the word twice and not go into the folder created.

Than I thought, I would put the word bard with the first letter upper
case and it still didn't go into the folder, but just listed the folder
as one of several choices.

How do I correct this problem? I could put the icon with the word
"Bard" in lower case with all letters as before.

I didn't hear the phrase, "Send to" at any time in the process.

Thank you.

Dave
