Your friend may need sighted help at first, but she needs to go to www.gwmicro.com and find the Window-Eyes link. When she comes to the "demo" link, just press enter, and after it downloads, it will be on her desktop. Get out of GW site, then push the letter w on the desktop. This will bring up the program, and it will install -- I believe giving her the choice of speech or not to install. It will ask about the tutorials and manual if she wants it.
I hope I'm right in this. But if she gets a sighted person to help her, then after she gets it installed, then she can play with it, or go through the MP-e tutorial. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, June 11, 2010 4:18 PM To: [email protected] Cc: [email protected] Subject: demo Hello, I have a friend, who would like to try out Window-eyes. I'd love to be able to install window-eyes on her computer, and show her hands-on how it works, but we live two hours apart. Since I've always used the full copy of Window-eyes, I'm not sure what to tell her regarding how to download and install the demo version. Assuming that she'll be able to get Window-eyes on her computer, I'll be helping her with learning how to use it over the phone. So, could someone give me step-by-step instructions as to how to download and install the demo version of Window-eyes? Thanks. Mike Rochester, NY.
