It works under xp, vista, and windows 7. Once installed, you'll see the word "menu" right after "home" at the top of the screen. You left click on "menu", or you can navigate to it by hitting alt and using the arrow keys. Once the word menu is clicked, below it, you'll see the traditional file, edit, view, insert, format, tools, table, window, drawing shapes.
That menu doesn't stay on the screen when you navigate away from the page though. So you may be able to customize it from the customize tool bar option. You have to use a combination of left mouse clicks, and the arrows. For instance, you can click on insert, then use your up and down arrow to go through those options.
