I had a similar problem getting the update of flash. The good thing, is if you didn't install it correctly, like a bad dinner, it'll be coming up again. So in about a week you'll have another chance to install it. I think I finally got it installed by pressing one of those unlabeled buttons, but can't really recall exactly what I did.
