I prefer doing my own maintenance, including checking for updates on
everything, including WE scripts. A PC restart necessitated by a system
crash in the middle of a time sensitive project, especially with colleagues
watching, and I am sure this only happens to me, is made trebly aggravating
when automatic update notifications start appearing as soon as WE is
launched, any more than I don't want the automobile mechanic showing up to
take my car off to the shop for it's regularly scheduled oil change just
when I am heading out to pick up my lotto winnings!

Hi,

I see your point. But I suspect from gw's position, if that radio button we

both like were the default, many people who are beginners would be very
confused and puzzled by a script asking to be installed each time they start

their machine, assuming there is one, of course. The more scripts you have,

the greater the likelyhood that you'll get multiple requests to install a
new script update. On the other hand, those who want this feature for all
their scripts can simply check the radio button once and that's the end of
that. I was wondering about the very same situation when, one day, I had a
request to install 6 new updates when I booted the computer. I think I have

13 scripts running, 6 or so of them being the default ones that the program
comes with.

Best to you Louis,
Steve
