Hi,
I am not going to complain about how much I don't like Windows 7. I am not going to mention how productive I have become with XP and Office '03. I'm just going to say I've made a commitment to spend at least two hours a day on the Windows 7 notebook the boss gave me and somehow get around the curve. I am making some progress. Seems like the more I learn though, the more I am amazed someone somewhere called this new O/S more intuitive. But I'm not going to go there. Instead I'll ask my question for the day by comparing how I did the task in XP and look for pointers on how to do the same thing in7. The Open and Save dialogs. In XP in an Open or Save dialog, I would first press alt plus I to place focus on the Look In field, or Save In field as the case may be. Then I could down and up arrow to find the desired root location. Tab once took me to a row of handy buttons. Tab again took me to another row of handy buttons. Tab a third time took me to a folder/file list where I could drill down to where I wanted to go, find a file to open or tab again to a filename filed and name a file . When I press alt plus I in a Windows 7 Open or Save dialog I get an error beep. I tab around, but never hear anything about a Look In or Save In. Tips, and suggestions on recommended reading are humbly requested. Sincerely, Donald E.
