Pele, The first question is whether your email account is a POP3 or HTTP account. I'm pretty sure you cannot use message rules in Windows Live Mail unless you have a POP3 account. (I'm on Windows XP at home, but I think I have the latest version of Windows Live Mail.) I used MSN at home and its HTTP. So, while I can see the message rule options, not all the functions are active because I cannot use rules with my HTTP email account. _________________________________ Robin Van Lant, Program Manager Key Equipment Finance Tel: 720-304-1060
"Pele West" <[email protected]> 08/09/2010 02:05 AM Please respond to "Pele West" <[email protected]> To <[email protected]> cc Subject Windows Live Mail and Message Rules Hi Everyone I am using Windows 7, Window-Eyes 7.2 and the latest version of the Windows Live Mail script. I am trying to set up rules to move messages into different folders automatically when they are downloaded. I can see the condition to check for, but cannot see how to set a value. For example, I am trying to have all messages sent to this list moved into a folder called GW Micro. I used to use PM Mail 2000, where I could check to see if the message header included GW-info and set the action to move it to a folder called GW Micro. Is this possible with Window-Eyes and Windows Live Mail? If not, should I be thinking of Outlook 2010 which seems to do a lot more with messages than I really want to do but may work better with Window-eyes.
