I've only had magic jack on xp, but it seems fairly well behaved, I
had to get an upgrade, a little executable to make it work on a
couple of my machines,
and sometimes it'll steal focus, but nothing untoward.
I think the best thing to do with magic jack is throw it on an old
junker on your network, and let it babysit magic jack if you don't
want any headaches at all.
Have you tried the end task list to close magic jack and or clearing
window-eyes out that way and starting again?

Hello Gang,
I recently installed Magic Jack on my XP desktop running WE 7.2. I
now am having problems whenever I use Internet Explorer, I think
Version 8. When I try to go on the web to a website, I get no
speech, maybe the beginning of the header. The only way to get
speech back is to close Internet Explorer and reboot which is the
only way to close Magic Jack once opened. It may be interfering with
other desktop applications as well, although, I can't remember
which, if any, at the moment.
Questions:
1. Does anybody else using Window-Eyes have this problem with Magic
Jack? and what are you doing to resolve it?
2. Is there a script that might help resolve this problem?
3. Or, am I destined to reboot everytime I use Magic Jack in order
to get it out of the way? (unplugging it seems to present its own
set of problems.)
4. Will programs like Magic Jack and Skype cause these kind of
problems when trying to access the internet with Explorer or other
browsers due to software/hardware conflict or overload?
Thanks for any help you can give
