As for your first question: 1. Go to your desktop. I.e, press WIN-D, alternatively, WIN-M. 2. Scroll down to RECYCLE BIN. 3. Press ALT-ENTER. 4. In the property menu, there will be a checkbox for whether you want this kind of confirmation questions, for each deletion you attempt. 5. Do your changes, and end by clicking OK.
The above is valid in Win XP. Since you did not mention whether this is your flavor of Windows, I took a chance. If there is another approach in newer Windows, others might want to fill me in here. ----- Original Message ----- From: Keith and Tracy To: blindtech Cc: gw info Sent: Wednesday, August 11, 2010 3:41 AM Subject: a couple of questions First, when I hit the delete key while in windows explorer, I do not get a confirmation dialog box asking me if I would like to delete the item. How can I get this back? Second, when I am accessing the Bard site to download NLS DTB books, the window is maximized, but the text is broken up and garbled. Like the name Brom Stoker is broken up as Bro mSto ker with no hypends. Third,, I am using a netbook, and have entered MSCONFIG, and there are a lot of items under the startup list. I am wondering which are critical, and which are optional/fluff. Thanks with any of the above questions Keith If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
