If you are still using the same version of Window-eyes that you had in
your old profile, this should work just fine.

If you changed to a newer version of Window-Eyes, you should update your
setfiles to the current format. This option is in the WE file menu,

Manage sets and scripts.

And of course, depending on how much time has passed, check for script
updates as well.

Hope this helps,

Jeff Weiss

Subject: Restoring WE set files

Hello,

We just switched servers at work and I now have a new profile and I
lost all my hard won WE settings.

I still have the ability to go back into my old profile.

Can I get my old settings from that profile and coppy them into my new
profile?

I searched the GW data base and found a message from Jeff Wise on how to
do a set file back up

He said this: Message text below.......

You need to back up your

Default

Folder

One way to get there is to go to the run dialog and type

"%appdata%"

Notice the quotes and percent signs.

Then arrow down to

Gw micro and press enter

Select window-eyes and press enter

Select users and press enter

And select default

Copy the whole default folder somewhere safe because this is
where all of your set files and scripts are stored.

Hope this helps,

Jeff Weiss

END OF MESSAGE TEXT......

If I go and do these steps how do I replace them in my new windows
profile?

Do I simply follow the steps again but instead of copping the default
folder just past them over the existing folder?

Will this bring all my old set files and associations over?

Or is the best and only way to make a moble coppy of we and then install
that in my new profile?

Any help would be soooooooo verry appreciated. I spent alot of time
making the setfiles for the accounting program to make it work. they are
by far NOT perfect but they are better than I have been able to
reproduce this far.

Thanks

Shannon
