This is pretty straight forward as well.

If you deal with each message as it is read, i.e. delete, save, reply or move it to another folder, then even if TBird does not say whether messages are read orunread, all remaining messages must be unread.

Personally, I would prefer that TBird did not say unread on each unread message because it is only extra verbage. Dealing with each message as it is encounted removes this situation and saves my ears.

The only problem with this theory is that you assume Thunderbird will
always say unread if a message is not read. If, for example, I need to
close Thunderbird before I have finished reading all my messages, the
next time I open it, the old unread messages don't say anything while
the new ones indicate unread.

Well, if it tells you it's unread, then you haven't read it. If it
doesn't tell you it's unread then you have already read it. Pretty
straight forward actually.

Hi,
Thought I would try Thunderbird with the Window-Eyes refresh.
Everything seems to work, except after I've read a message and exit it
it doesn't indicate it has been read.
It will tell me if I have an attachment and if the message is unread,
but not read.
Has anyone else found this to be true?
