Hi,

I have used it with the free speech recognition which is built into windows
vista and windows 7, and have written some macros and scripts to make it
work. This works well, although the scripts I admit are minimal because no
one has shown any interest.

I don't know if it speaks the dialogs which dragon may put up, but as far as
I know you cannot speak any command and control commands to dragon to
control WE; that is, you cannot tell it to read you the line, or the window,
etc.

That means right now, you can only use dragon with WE for straight
dictation, and command and control of windows, and only then if it happens
WE speaks all the dragon dialogs. you would still need to be able to hit
the keyboard commands for controlling WE. that's what my macros and scripts
do for windows speech recognition, as well as read it's dialogs.

I have dragon at work, and so someday I hope to tackle this.

hth,

Chip

Subject: WE with Dragon Naturally Speaking Pro

My husband, who has been using Jaws with Dragon since the VA gave it to him
without a choice of screen readers, is finally ready to give WE a try. If
anyone who is using WE with Dragon Naturally Speaking Pro has any tips,
tricks, recommendations, or cautions could email me with their comments, it
would be most appreciated.

Thanks!
Marilyn
