I have solved the constant page refresh in firefox for most sites by
installing the no script addon for firefox from mozilla.com. Some sites
will not work with this addon running but by using tyhe optiojns button it
con be dissabled for a particular site.

that does not work. w e will constantly refresh even with it set to
suspend all refresh. even on some pages that do not have any flash content
on them. it does this more with fire fox then i e 8.
i can turn off auto load. most of the time this will not work either.

The repeated downloading of pages is usually caused by flash content that
is
refreshing constantly. If you go in to the W E verbosity menu and go to
browse mode, under misc settings you'll find a radial button that
controls
refreshing. You can stop all refreshing, just flash refreshing or you
can
allow all refreshing to take place. 7.2 is no more prone to this problem
then other versions of W E, but more and more web pages are being
automatically refreshed and updated.
