Similarly, I've noticed that before I log in and as I'm logging out of Windows 'XP Pro, the speech settings go back to a slower factory default. I've changed the speech settings and saved them as the default (and only) user profile, so I'm surprised they don't stick as I log in and out of Windows. My settings stay in tact when I just lock my work station using Control + Alt + Delete.

It did hold on to the change of synthesizer, but the other settings keep going back to their defaults. Before I would open up the WE control panel, set everything the way I like it, then set the active profile. I also did a save of the default set file for good measure. This was working on my previous XP pro computer, this problem has only started since my PC was upgraded.
