Robert, I'm having to guess without a book to look this up; but what I remember is that if "markup" is checked under the view menu, then window eyes will speak the text of the comment as you cursor past it. if "markup" is not checked, then the markup such as comments aren't displayed in the document, and so they are displayed in the task pane off to the right. you can switch between the task pane and the document body with the f6 key. so, if you hear there's a comment, you should be able to press f6 to go read it if this pane is being displayed. if you need some Word 2003 e-books, write to me at: [email protected] these aren't the ones written for screen reader users, but if you feel you can translate the instructions to "click" here or there into keyboard instructions, then they may be useful. I don't know if anyone who wrote special Word 2003 books for screen reader users are still selling them. I know access technology institute stopped selling their 2003 line, I don't know about others such as APH. hth, Chip
