Jed,
First, make sure you focus Miranda itself through its show/hide hotkey
or by clicking on its icon in the notification area. Pulling it up with
the show message hotkey brings focus to the program, but the contact
list won't update. If that doesn't work, open Miranda's system menu and
resize the window.

Ran in to a really strange issue. I was using it just fine, no problem.
All of a sudden my computer locked up and i had to hard power cycle it.
I got back in to windows, and started miranda.
I logged on with my protocalls, aim, msn, and facebook. It says they are on
line, but noone in my lists show up.
It says no selected item when i login with my screen names. When i arrow up
and down it says no selected item.
Any ideas?
This seems odd, i'm doing nothing different.
