Subject: Something Going On With Thunderbird

Hi,
I would like you people who are using Thunderbird to try this.
From your run dialog, type, www.mozilla.com/thunderbird and tell me what
happens?
What happens to me, is that it opens the inbox of thunderbird, and puts me in there, instead of opening I. E. and going to the mozilla site. This just started happening last week when I tried compozing messages in plain text.
I like to go to that site and read the release notes and stuff.
If I open Internet Explorer first this doesn't happen. Firefox does the same thing so it's something quirky in Thunderbird. My problem doesn't happen if I am using Windows Live Mail or Microsoft Outlook. I would stick with LIve Mail, but since I am using WE 7.2, LIve Mail locks up sometimes when I am editing a message. If I use Microsoft Outlook 2007, it won't open up any of the email messages I have saved because they are regular mail files with a dot e m l extention. I need to be able to use my email accounts separately. Tried Eudora again, and imported my accounts from Outlook and they didn't work, no matter what I tried. With Live Mail and Thunderbird, I can use my email accounts completely separately, with out jumping through hoops. LIve Mail is not going to work right until WE 8.0 is released; and Live Mail when the new one comes out may require a yahoo email account.
I am using Windows 7 Professional, with all updates.
Is there anything else I should try to fix the Thunderbird problem?

Thanks,

Pastor Gil
