After reading this message I have to add and ask. Are you using the bypass key before hitting ctrl-shift-f? If so, that will send you to the search fields, where you define things like whether or not to search in subfolders of the folder you are searching in, and what fields to do your searching in, and finally you'll find the search button. When that result comes up, you should be able to simply use the arrow keys and find the message you want to read and hit enter on it.

The bypass key is insert-b

Control-Shift-F is the Window-Eyes mouse search hotkey. If you find it that way it just moves the mouse pointer to it. Hit the left click button (NumPad
slash (/)) and that will focus the message in the list. Then hit Enter to
open it. You can also hit the left click button twice to just open it. But
this is only
going to search the screen, which is fine if you don't have a large list of
messages.

Otherwise, press Home to go to the top of your message list. Hit Shift-F3 to
open the Outlook Express search dialog. Enter the
text you're looking for in the header, that which you see in the list. Tab to "search all text in downloaded messages" and make sure it's unchecked. Then Tab to the "Find next" button and press Enter. After hitting the "Find next" button you'll land on the first message with the text you searched for. Just press Enter to open it. If that's not the one, hit F3 to
search for the next message containing the same text.

Hth,
Tom

One way is to go to inbox, tab unitl you hear question(this is the search
field), type your schools sender address, tab four or five times util you
are in the mail headers field again. Your search names should be at the
top
or among the first ten or so. Arrow down or up again. Have not found
another
way to do this.

Take care

I know that you can searchg for a specific email in OE using the Control +
shift+ F combo, but how do you advance the "cursor" to that email? I do
the
combo, and find the email I want to view, but when I hit the enter key, it
just opens the first email that was named when I enter that folder. Lets
say that there is a email from Mom in the top of the que. I search for an
email from school, find it, but when I hit enter, it opens the email from
mom. WHow do I advance the highlight or whatever you call it to get to
the
one entitled school.

Thanks

Keith
