I am not experiencing any problems with Google as things stand today.
Also, Google itself is not too bad with respect to being accessible.
Using the browse mode navigation keys in Window-Eyes makes Google very
useable without having to go to an alternative web page.

For example, type in your search terms, here I recommend suggest going
largest to smallest (EG: Manitoba university rhetoric), press the enter
key and when the page is finished loading press the letter H twice to
get to the search results. Hey you can even press the number 2 followed
by the letter H. The results are at the beginning of the first level 2
heading. Using the Google main page then has us using the same search
facility as everyone else who prefers Google for their search engine.

My bias is I am a proponent of using the applications as closely to
those who do not use text to speech technologies. For instance, I am
bothered with a recent review of a beta that I read. It includes a
simplified version of the Office ribbon. Working in a support
environment where my team is expected to provide assistance to people
who are not using text to speech technologies a solution that has me
using the software in a significantly different manner is not
acceptable. Of course I also have issues with having to write an
interface that joins two adaptive technologies together such as text
two speech and speech recognition; but I digress.

Just an opinion from a minion.

If you chose to leave google instant on it works great. When you type
a term or terms in go up and down with the arrows and you will find
suggestions. YOu can type different words or letters and hear what
comes up. Try tv as an example. you need to have browse mode turned
off just as you would for any search.
