Hi John,

did you ever get an answer as to how to make Word go to the next page when
WE is running?

I did check the manual, and I don't see an obvious way. I see two possible
work arounds:

* one is to use the Word "goto" dialog (press control-G), which will take
you to various items such as bookmarks, comments, footnotes, sections, and
pages. for a page, you have to enter the specific page number, so you'd
have to know what page your on, then you could enter the next page number.

* or you could use the WordNav script, which much like the Word "goto"
command, lets you move to various items, which include next page. you'll
have to download this script from script central.

This gives me an idea for an enhancement to my MS Word script: because, Word
has something called the "navigation browser" or the "thumb" in the status
bar. you click on it, and rotor it between different types of objects to
navigat between, and then there is a keystroke which will take you to the
next one of whatever this is set to. I don't know of any way to rotor this
browsing thumb between it's choice except with the mouse, so I'll look into
adding a keystroke to my script.

hth,

Chip

Subject: Problem with ms word reading by screen

I'm helping a friend configure her new computer. She's using windows xp pro
and office 2003. when she uses MS Word, and pages down, word says "next
screen", instead of taking her to the next page. I've looked but can't find
how to change this behavior. Can anyone help?
