It isn't that hard to customize. You don't have to do anything more than open the context menu on a page and tell it which scripts you want to allow and which pages you want to completely allow. It took me literally seconds per page. To my mind it beats the heck out of the hassles caused by having nothing to manage scripts on pages. I could understand if you had to open up a settings menu and manually enter pages to allow, but it really isn't that hard to hit the context menu key, open the NoScript submenu and allow the page or allow only a limited number of scripts on the page. I guess everyone has their own frustration limits, I just find the endless waiting for scripts to finish loading and effects on reading caused by the various scripts to be much more frustrating than a couple of seconds tinkering with a context menu on a page, particularly when the couple of seconds tinkering fixes the problems permanently. You can even deal with issues with scripts that you need to have run from time to time, you just forbid the script and then open up the context menu and temporarily allow it when you want it to run for a session.

Chris

I would suggest trying the no script add on and giving ebay limited
permissions.

Huh. Both of those sites misbehave without the script, and behave with the
script for me. I'm using FF 4 beta, though. I'll try with FF 3.6.X
tomorrow.
Does IE work for you on these sites?

useing firefox 3.6.9. the main page on ebay.com and paypal are the worst
and
the script does nothing for these sites. as soon as i start to type in the
edit boxes browse mode turns back on. i can go to the edit box and press
enter on them and as long as i don't type anything in browse mode will
stay
off. same o same o as before.
