To get the BCC field to show when in a message, you have to go to the View menu and choose BCC from there if it isn't checked. this will cause it to display, and it will be displayed in all your messages until you turn it off. you must be in the message composition dialog before you will get this choice on the menu; that is, you can't be in your inbox itself.
