Hi Mike. You can still install the SAPI version of Eloquence if you have an
older CD of Window-Eyes. Just go into your advanced settings and select
install Eloquence.
Also, I've noticed that too when Window-Eyes won't read the current word
with the control+insert+numpad5 key. The only fix for that for now is to use
the previous word hotkey, control+insert+numpad4 I think it is. Not sure
since I use the laptop layout but give it a shot. You shouldn't lose your
place when you do that. Window-Eyes doesn't move the cursor to read previous
or next words unlike other screen readers. HTH.
