If the progress is placed in the title bar and you get it with control-shift-t, but not from the progress bar area with control-insert-b, then I would not expect the progress indicator script to work. So why it changed is anyone's guess, but sometimes programs don't put progress bars the way they should and this is the result. The progress indicator script will only function when there is an actual progress bar and the way you can tell is by pressing control-insert-b to find out if there's one to begin with.
