In addition to Kevin's info, I thought I'd add that most people consider Word 2010 easier to use; much more like Word 2003.
Unfortunately, WE doesn't yet support office 2010 as well as it does 2007; this is especially true when using outlook. it supports it well enough, but not entirely without problems.
