Of critical importance is the service pack you have installed. You should
be at SP3.

If in fact you are at SP3, you will be as surprised as I was to find human
assistance at support.microsoft.com

Subject: I can't update my system XP

Hi, I can't update my XP home systems anymore. There are updates available,
but when I select them and click install, it runs through the steps and then
tells me that the selected updates were not installed.

I am running windows xp home on a desktop and windows xp home on a netbook.
Neither can be updated. And yes, they are both registered copies of
Windows xp home

Any help would be appreciated.

Keith
