Hi. For our U.S. users, any FTDI USB/serial converters from
www.usbgear.com work very well. They have a model with a 1 foot cable
for just over $11. I connected the converter to my Windows 7 64 bit HP
laptop. Windows installed a driver without needing the included cd. By
default the com port was set to comn4. As I work on the machine now I'm
using a Doubletalk LT. I took the power plug out of the LT by
accident. When I plugged it back in the LT came back perfectly. I'm
going to test this converter with Dectalk Express and, hold your breath,
an Accent SA. Another list member needs a UK resource for an FTDI
converter. I hope someone can help.
