I'd start by running sfc which checks and corrects any system file errors. to do this window key plus letter r type cmd hit enter then copy the next line: sfc /scannow then go back the command window and hit alt plus spacebar and arrow to edit and enter then arrow to paste and enter. At this point you be scanning. if not, hit enter. If this does not fix the problem, then I'd scan the hard drive for bad sectors. To do this go to your computer and highlight the c drive then alt f then r tab over to tools tab once and enter and tab and check both boxes and tab to start. You'll be informed that it can't do scan because files are being used and asks if you want it done on your next boot-up- enter on yes and restart your computer. This might take several hours so I would do this over night. I think it's a computer issue because I tried jaws and it did the same thing going to adobe reader 9. I did see an error in my windows mail program so I took Yahoo completely out but the speech problem continues. For example I'm reading an a-book in adobe and if I arrow down it just stops talking sometimes it works fine other times it doesn't sporadically. Is there a windows setting that might need changing a system memory thing or something?
