An other possibility is, that you have an other reply template.
When reading a mail, selected text is not spoken, but in a reply, I can
select the text: 
On Thu, 14 etc, the line below. my mail. This line is not a problem.
But the quoted text of your mail is and that is, because a greater than ">"sign
is placed in front of it and Becky will give the lines different colors.
Or I think that is the problem.
When changing the reply template at tools, general,  Citation tabcontrol,
you can change the reply template from %M to %m
a uppercase M to lowercase, you don't have the > signs anymore and
replied text is in normal colors.
But I want the > signs.
