Joe,

I think your troubles are the view your contacts are set to. fyi, just like
every other outlook piece of info, they are also stored in your pst file.

when in the contacts folder, go to the view menu (alt V), then choose
"arrange by" sub menu, then choose "current view" sub menu, and finally here
you can set how the contacts will look. the "phone list" choice is the list
you're wanting; when you choose it, you get their names in alphabetical
order, along with their phone numbers, and if you want to see all the other
info, you press enter on the record.

this is a little like the calendar; the different views are really
different, and the calendar works best (for me), if I use the "pending
appointments" current view; which turns it into a list of upcoming
appointments, rather than a grid of week or month view of a more normal
calendar.

hth,

Chip

Subject: Why am I still having trouble with Outlook 2007?

Hello,
Feels like I'm beating a dead horse but I cannot interact with my contacts
in Outlook. Using WE 7.2 and Windows XP. While in the inbox, with nothing
selected, I press control-y to go to a folder, I arrow to Contacts, press
control 3 and yes, there are contacts there but they are in no particular
order, (not in a list view. I don't know what is wrong with my settings nor
do I know which address this contacts group refers to. I think it's the
.pst folder but I'm not sure from the Help info what to do to correct this.
How would I send a screen shot? What's appropriate? Thanks.

Rev. Jo Taliaferro
