Hi all, now that we have literally hundreds of scripts available, I was reminded by a recent remark of a new user as to how difficult it is to find a script, and to know whether it is worth downloading and using or not.
I know many of us are using the "install packages" script, and so we never see the web interface from GW for available scripts, and so forget about the ability to rate and offer comments for each script. It would be of help to new users I think, if we each took time to go and find the web page for the most useful scripts, and any you'd particularly suggest that people may want to avoid, and both rate the script, and offer up any comments you may have as to why it's useful or why it's not, and of course, how it could be improved. It's easy to do for scripts you're already using: go into the script manager, go into the help for each script, and choose the about dialog (alt-a), and in here you can choose the web site button (alt-w) which usually takes you to the GW micro script page for the script (where you can rate it and leave comments). If a script doesn't have a way to take you to the GW script's web page, you can find it by going to http://gwmicro.com/scripts and search for the script. please consider doing this to help others, and to help script authors improve the script by offering comments, or even showing your appreciation with a good rating and a thanks. thanks.
