Using msconfig to solve problems is not the ideal solution. The ideal
solution, in this case, would be to go into Skype options and turn off
Startup when Windows boots up.

Aloha Pat,
Do you have Skype running in background?
If so, that is the culprit!
I have experience similar problems, , and the only solution is to reboot
with skype removed from startup on bootup, which you can do from Skype or
using msconfig/startup.

Subject: Sellecting text and web pages not displaying correctly
Hi Everyone,
Some times when I am trying to sellect text with Window-Eyes it just
dings, and even if I redraw the screen, it still dings.
Also, when I am going to change a file name for our web site, using
the Appatchie software on a Unix server, when I press f2 to change
the file name, Window-eyes doesn't even show me the file name when I
press f2. I can successfully do this with System Access, but not
Window-Eyes.
Also Some web sites load, but Window-Eyes just says "top" or "Bottom"
no matter what I do. This is with IE8.
Any help is much appreciated, please.
Thanks much.
