Not sure about the email client you're using, but in my Eudora I see a
difference like this when I use the Microsoft viewer to read
messages. With the MS viewer on, the reading starts at the top of the page
like you get on a web page because it uses the MSAA mode. Without the MS
viewer, it's plain text, so the cursor starts below all the header
lines. Also in Eudora, you can simply turn this mode on or off whenever
you need the viewer to read emails that don't show the content without it.

Hi Everyone,
I recently had to re-install my e-mail client. The person who
originally set up almost all the software on my computer is no longer
around to ask. Before the re-installation, things were set up so
that when I pressed the "read-to-end" hot-key, all I heard was the
actual text of the message. Now, I get a whole lot of mostly
gibberish for ten or fifteen lines before the actual text of the
message. Does any one have a quick idea on how to set up WE so that
I can hear only the actual message? I know, when all else fails,
read the book. If I need to do that, I will. However, I'm not too
proud to ask some one else if it will save time. Thanks in advance
for any help you can give.
