Kevin,
I'm not sure why you would want to do that, but you can install an
earlier copy of WE onto the VM. Remember that it's a virtual machine;
nothing you do while in XP Mode affects the rest of your computer.

Steve

Windows XP mode uses Virtual PC to run the virtual machine, and as such,
can be controlled by the same Virtual PC hotkeys. A comprehensive list
is located at http://allhotkeys.com/microsoft-virtual-pc-hotkeys.html.

Hi Donald:
The only way that I know of switching back and forth between Windows
XP Mode and the main Windows 7 system is through the task manager.
To do this, I have to press control-alt-delete and arrow down to Open
Task Manager, then I highlight the task that I want to go to and press
Enter.

Hi,
Just wanted to chime in with a report that my upgrade from XP SP-3 to
Windows 7 PH 32bit due to a hard drive crash that made the timing for
taking
the plunge as good as I would hope for and even though I was eventually
led
to replacing the main board; is finally finished and the upgrade is more
or
less a success. I won't bore the list too many details as it can all be
read on my website.
My point is that at this time I can honestly say I'm doing most
everything I
was doing here in my home studio with XP and now using Windows 7. .
There
are still a few things I find easier to accomplish, at least in the
fewest
keystrokes in XP but rarely find myself pining for good old XP any
longer.
I still have a machine with XP and I use both computers about the same
amount of time during the course of a day.
Sometimes W7 seems a little slower than XP to me, and I don't think I
would
want to sacrifice any speed for XZP emulation.
That's all jut me though, and I only make this contribution primarily to
encourage those still rounding the curve.
I guess I would be curious to know if one can switch back and forth on
the
fly so to speak between W7 and XP emulation although it seems the drag
on
system resources to do so would be very significant.
A final observation would be that Window Eyes seems to run equally well
and
reliably in both operating system. atjm.
