Michael,
Try replying using the mobile site at m.facebook.com. I have found it to
not only be considerably less cluttered than the main one, but
Window-Eyes is also able to read the edit fields when composing
messages, comments, replies, etc. Also be sure you have maximized your
web browser with Alt-Space, X to ensure as much text as possible fits on
the screen.
