Some braille displays have there own hardware menus, that is, when they are not connected to any device, such as a laptop or desktop. Perhaps your braille display might have something like this? An example of a braille display with its own structured menus, is the refreshabraille from the American Printing House for the Blind, which is also supported under window-eyes 7.0 or later.
